On April 25, 2024, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia M.Ayazov gave a lecture “The philosophical heritage of Magtymguly is the basis of the foreign doctrine of Turkmenistan” for students of the Faculty of International Relations of the Russian-Armenian University.
During the lecture, the Ambassador spoke about the conceptual foundations of the current foreign doctrine of Turkmenistan, as well as about the anniversary year - the 300th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding classic of Turkmen literature Magtymguly Fragi, and the motto of the year 2024 “Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi.”
The lecture was accompanied by an interesting and visual presentation. The ambassador also mentioned Turkmen-Armenian cultural and literary ties. The Ambassador drew the students' attention to the fact that the books of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov were translated into Armenian. In particular, based on the book of the National Leader “The Spiritual World of the Turkmen”, the Ambassador expressed the opinion that the friendly relations of the Turkmen people with the peoples of the world, the tendency to provide direct assistance to each other are of great importance and it contains many principles and foundations that guide our state.
At the end of the lecture, students of the Russian-Armenian University recited Magtymguly’s poems translated into Armenian by poet-translator Varuzhan Hastur.
