On May 7, 2024, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the UK held a solemn event dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
The event was attended by Ambassadors of foreign countries, representatives of the British Parliament, the International Maritime Organization, the British Library, the Royal Society for Asian Affairs, the European News Academy, and teaching staff of higher educational institutions in London, such as University College London, London South Bank University, SOAS University of London, the head of the organization "The Aitmatov Academy", the Turkmen diaspora and Turkmen students studying in higher education institutions.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan Ya.Seryaev in his speech spoke about the planned international and national events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great thinker and classical poet of the East Magtymguly Fragi, in 2024. During the event, poems of Magtymguly Fragi were recited, and video records dedicated to the development of Turkmenistan and the work of Magtymguly Fragi were shown.
Then the solemn event continued with a visit to the exhibition of works of Turkmen classics, national clothing, jewelry and illustrations of decorative and applied arts of the Turkmen people.
