On May 28, 2024, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the State of Qatar M.Seyitmammedov with the Chairman of the Shura Council (Advisory Council) of the State of Qatar Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of partnership in the areas of trade and economics, investment, culture, tourism, as well as transport and communications.
A separate topic of the conversation was the issues of Turkmen-Qatari inter-parliamentary interaction at the level of international organizations and structures.
The parties emphasized that interparliamentary cooperation between Turkmenistan and Qatar has enormous potential. In this regard, proposals were made to strengthen ties at the level of parliaments, their committees and groups, organize joint events, as well as exchange delegations from both parliaments.
In this regard, the importance of the activities of the Turkmen-Qatari interparliamentary friendship group was noted.
