On June 12, 2024, the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Japan opened, where a concert of Turkmen art masters was organized and an exhibition of decorative and applied arts and a national costume show was held.
The opening ceremony was attended by members of the Japanese parliament, representatives of ministries, public and government organizations, heads of higher education institutions, heads of foreign diplomatic missions in Japan, as well as Turkmen students.
Ambassador A.Bayramov and Deputy Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan G.Myradaliev, speaking at the event, emphasized that the far-sighted policy of the President of Turkmenistan and Hero-Arkadag contributes to strengthening Turkmen-Japanese cooperation in various fields.
In their speeches, Chairman of the Secretariat of the Interparliamentary Japanese-Turkmen Friendship Group Sh.Matsushita and Minister of Digital Technologies of Japan T.Kono expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan for the installation of a monument to the famous Japanese writer, Nobel Prize laureate Kawabata Yasunari in the «Magtymguly Fragi» cultural and park complex.
As part of the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Japan, a number of meetings dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi were held at the University of Tsukuba.
