On June 27, 2024, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Türkiye organized a flower laying ceremony at the monument to the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi, installed in the picturesque «Turkmenistan» Park in the center of Ankara.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye Nadir Alpaslan, heads of various ministries and departments of Türkiye, Ambassadors of a number of countries accredited in Türkiye, famous writers, public figures, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora, the media and students youth.
In their speeches, the participants noted the humanistic message and the enormous contribution of Magtymguly Fragi’s creativity to enriching the treasury of world literature and understanding of the values of the Turkmen people. It was also emphasized that by the decision of the Permanent Council of Ministers of Culture of the TURKSOY member countries, 2024 was declared as the year of the great poet and thinker of the Turkic World - Magtymguly Fragi.
