On July 2, 2024, a meeting was held between the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva (UNOG) V.Hajiyev and the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Daren Tang.
During the meeting, issues of the current state of cooperation between Turkmenistan and WIPO were discussed, and the most promising areas for further development of the bilateral partnership were identified.
In particular, opportunities were outlined for intensifying interaction in training specialists from Turkmenistan involved in the field of intellectual property, in implementing joint projects in this area, as well as providing technical assistance within the framework of the process of Turkmenistan’s accession to the WTO.
Special attention was paid to consideration of issues of organizing a visit to Turkmenistan by WIPO leadership.
