On July 23, 2024, members of the Turkmen delegation formed to participate in the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games were solemnly welcomed at the Paris airport. The ceremony was attended by the heads of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Physical Culture and Sports, the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan, representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan to the French Republic, the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games in Paris, as well as volunteers.
Turkmenistan will be represented in four sports, in particular weightlifting, judo, athletics and swimming, within the framework of the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games, which begin in Paris on July 26.
On the eve of departure to Paris, a solemn ceremony of seeing off Turkmen athletes to the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games took place in the Olympic village of Ashgabat.
