On October 8, 2024, the ceremony of presenting the credentials of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Hellenic Republic (with residence in Rome) T.Komekov to the President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou took place at the Presidential Palace in Athens.
At the beginning of the conversation, the Ambassador conveyed greetings and best wishes on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, addressed to the President of the Hellenic Republic.
In response, President Katerina Sakellaropoulou expressed deep gratitude for the warm greetings and wishes addressed to her and asked to convey friendly greetings in return to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
During the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in expanding friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Greece in various areas.
