On October 28, 2024, in the concert hall of the Music Publications and Sound Recordings Department of the Russian State Library in Pashkov House, an international scientific and practical conference «Magtumguly and his role in world culture» was held in a hybrid format, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the outstanding poet and thinker of the East Magtymguly Fragi.
The conference was organized as part of the VIII Moscow International Arts Festival «Sounds of Dutar» named after Nury Halmammedov in collaboration with the Russian State Library.
The event was attended by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation E.Aydogdyev, General Director of the Russian State Library V.Duda and the art director of the Moscow International Arts Festival «Sounds of Dutar» named after Nury Halmammedov, composer M.Guseynov, as well as the faculty of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and Russia, lovers and connoisseurs of the works of Magtymguly Fragi in online and offline formats.
During the conference it was emphasized that in the poetry of Magtymguly Fragi such principles as peace, brotherhood, goodness, and humanism are proclaimed as universal values and serve as a bridge for the mutual enrichment of cultures and the establishment of friendly relations between peoples.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the RF donated books on literature, national wealth, culture to the Russian State Library, including several books written by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as anniversary copies of a collection of selected works by Magtymguly Fragi.
