On 30 November 2024, thr ceremony of presenting copies of credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Iran Y.Gaipov to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Seyyed Abbas Araghchi took place.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to the responsible post and expressed readiness of the Iranian side to assist his activities for further development of Turkmen-Iranian relations.
The sides underlined that the distinctive feature of Turkmen-Iranian ties is the trustful and constructive dialogue established between the leadership of two states.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Iran. The sides noted the intensification of partnership between the two countries on a wide range of issues of mutual interest.
Ambassador Y.Gaipov assured that he will make every effort to strengthen ties between Turkmenistan and Iran.
