On January 30, 2025, the celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the Turkmen Public Cultural Center of Almaty and the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the Peoples of Kazakhstan were held in the building of the House of Friendship of Almaty.
The event was attended by representatives of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World, Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, representatives of diplomatic missions, President of the Turkic Peoples Culture Fund, ethno-cultural centers of the Assembly of the Peoples of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Akimat of the city of Almaty, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as public figures and the mass media.
In their speech, representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan informed the participants about the planned events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of neutrality of Turkmenistan and the declaration of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” by the UN General Assembly.
It was noted that the neutral status of Turkmenistan serves as a factor that has a positive impact on encouraging cooperation between states and international organizations in addressing pressing issues of present day. In this regard, it was emphasized that the proclamation of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust is not only a recognition of the need to strengthen cooperation to build dialogue as a basis for mutual understanding and trust among peoples, but also evidence of Turkmenistan’s global vision and its commitment to the principles of positive neutrality.
The participants of the event also had an opportunity to get acquainted with the achievements and culture of Turkmen people through the demonstrated video clip.
