On April 14, 2025, a meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Croatia (with residence in Bucharest) A. Annaev and the Аdvisor to the President of the Republic of Croatia Neven Pelikaric.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador noted that 2025 is a significant year for Turkmenistan, as the country celebrates three decades of its neutrality status. It was noted that, at the initiative of Turkmenistan, 2025 was declared by the UN General Assembly as the “International Year of Peace and Trust”, which became a clear expression of recognition of Turkmenistan’s activities aimed at ensuring global peace and sustainable development.
Then A. Annaev handed to Neven Pelikaric an invitation to the President of Croatia Zoran Milanovic on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the representative Forum of the International Year of Peace and Trust, timed to the 30th anniversary of the permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the parties noted the positive dynamics of the development of relations and the existing prospects for cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Croatia.
