Prospects for cooperation in equestrian sports discussed in Bucharest

On March 24, 2026, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan A.Annaev, and the President of the Romanian Equestrian Federation Marilena Mladin, at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania.

During the conversation, the parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation in the fields of horse breeding and equestrian sports. Particular emphasis was placed on the historical significance of the Akhal-Teke horse breed, recognized as a world heritage and a national symbol of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen side provided information on the extensive work being done to develop the industry, including modern infrastructure, the activities of the “Turkmenatlary” State Association, and the Aba Annaev International Academy of Horse Breeding.

Special attention was paid to the National Turkmen Horse Day. It was noted that international events held as part of this celebration serve as an effective platform for scientific and professional exchange among world-class experts.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to the practical deepening of ties, including the exchange of expertise between specialists and the implementation of joint projects.
