A delegation from Turkmenistan is participating in the International Transport and Logistics Forum in St. Petersburg

On April 1, 2026, the International Transport and Logistics Forum opened in St. Petersburg. It is being held at the Expoforum Exhibition Center from April 1 to 3. A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Deputy Minister of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan Sylapberdi Nurberdiyev, is participating in the event.

The forum brought together representatives of international organizations, major transport and logistics companies, freight forwarding businesses, and port and warehouse infrastructure.

Participants will discuss the development of international transport corridor infrastructure, freight and passenger logistics, tourism, digital services, innovative solutions, regulatory frameworks in the transport sector, as well as the activities of the global transport industry and the implementation of advanced technologies.

As is known, Turkmenistan has been one of the initiators of the creation of a systemic international dialogue on issues of transport connectivity and logistical interoperability for many years.

At Turkmenistan’s initiative, the UN General Assembly adopted a number of Resolutions on transport cooperation. It is also worth noting that Turkmenistan hosted the first UN Global Conference on Sustainable Transport in 2016, which essentially laid the foundation for systematic international dialogue on this issue.

The participation of the Turkmen delegation in the forum is a continuation of the country’s active efforts to strengthen cooperation and consolidate efforts in the transport sector.
