A meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan and the Chairman of Japanese-Turkmen Committee on Economic Cooperation

On April 16, 2026, a meeting took place between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan A.Bayramov and Member of the Board of Directors of “ITOCHU Corporation”, Executive vice president, President of the machinery and equipment company, and Chairman of the Japanese-Turkmen committee on economic cooperation H.Tsubai.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the projects implemented by “ITOCHU Corporation” in Turkmenistan, as well as other issues of mutual interest in bilateral cooperation.

The sides also exchanged views on preparations for the upcoming 16th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Japanese and Japanese-Turkmen Committees on Economic Cooperation, scheduled to be held in Tokyo in December of the current year.
