Delegation of Turkmenistan is taking part in 10th UNECE International Public-Private Partnerships Forum
The 10th International Public-Private Partnerships Forum, organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), is taking place in Barcelona from 27 to 29 April 2026. The delegation from Turkmenistan is taking part in the Forum.
During the event, the delegation of Turkmenistan will present information on the work being carried out in the country aimed at the development of the modern market economy and strengthening of the role of the private sector.
It is planned to familiarize the participants of the Forum with promising areas of partnership, including transport and logistics infrastructure, next-generation energy, the agro-industrial complex, the digital economy, urban infrastructure and the tourism sector.
Particular emphasis is placed on the significance of the National Tourism Zone “Avaza” as a promising platform for attracting private investment.
As a landlocked country, Turkmenistan attaches particular importance to the development of public-private partnerships in the interests of the LLDC group of countries. In this context, the importance of the Avaza Programme of Action for Landlocked Developing Countries for the decade 2024-2034 is emphasized.
The participation of Turkmenistan in the Forum confirms the country’s commitment to expanding international economic cooperation, introducing modern public-private partnership mechanisms and promoting sustainable development.
