On the presentation forum in Beijing following the business meetings in Ashgabat

On May 20, 2026, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the People's Republic of China, together with the China Overseas Development Association (CODA) and the "China-Turkmenistan Cultural Center," hosted a presentation forum.

More than 200 delegates attended the forum, including Turkmen diplomats, CODA leadership, and representatives from the SCO and business communities of both countries.

In his speech, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the PRC emphasized the dynamic development of the bilateral strategic partnership, which was energized by mutual visits at the highest and high levels. In particular, he noted the March visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to China, as well as the visit of Vice Premier of the State Council of the PRC, Ding Xuexiang, to Turkmenistan. Additionally, the Ambassador invited Chinese partners to participate in the celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence.

During the speeches, Zhou Lin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee of the SCO Demonstration Zone, Jiang Yun, Deputy Secretary-General of CODA, and Li Zan, Director of the "China-Turkmenistan Cultural Center", provided a detailed analysis of the outcomes of the Ashgabat meetings. They emphasized the significance of the Congratulatory Address by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Ashgabat forum participants. The speakers expressed high interest in holding such events annually to implement joint investment projects.

An exhibition of Turkmen national carpets, jewelry, traditional costumes, and products from private enterprises of Turkmenistan was organized on the sidelines of the forum. Guests were also presented with photographic and video materials showcasing the country's achievements.
