Meeting of the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan with Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado

On May 20, 2026 a meeting was held between Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan A. Bayramov with  Princess Takamado, a member of the Imperial Family of Japan.

During the constructive conversation, the parties highly praised the current state of Turkmen-Japanese cooperation and held a detailed exchange of views on key vectors for developing traditional cultural and humanitarian partnership.

The Turkmen side expressed gratitude to Princess Takamado for her significant personal contribution to strengthening the bonds of international friendship, expanding intercultural dialogue, and deepening humanitarian cooperation. It was emphasized that under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, Turkmenistan attaches priority importance to the steady growth of strategic and friendly dialogue with Japan. This dialogue is built on mutual respect, unique Japanese traditions, advanced technological progress, and a shared commitment to ensuring global peace and sustainable development.

Special emphasis during the meeting was placed on the historic significance of the two meetings between the President of Turkmenistan and the Emperor of Japan Naruhito in 2025, which gave a powerful impetus to the interstate partnership at the highest level.

In the context of humanitarian interaction, the diplomat briefed Princess Takamado in detail on the large-scale activities of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, highlighting Turkmenistan's commitment to noble humanitarian principles and the welfare of the younger generation.

In conclusion, the parties expressed mutual readiness for the further diversified development of bilateral relations in strategically important areas such as education, sports, environmental protection, and the promotion of advanced green energy technologies.
