A new page in humanitarian partnership: Days of Turkmenistan culture in the Russian Federation started in Moscow
On June 4, 2026, the grand opening of the Days of Turkmenistan Culture in the Russian Federation took place at the Moscow State Academic Theater "Russian Song."
Cultural and humanitarian ties are one of the most important areas of Turkmen-Russian relations, which have always served as a bridge of friendship and mutual understanding. This year's celebration of Turkmen culture brought together distinguished guests: representatives of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, senior officials of Russian cultural institutions, foreign diplomats accredited in Moscow, representatives of the business communities of both countries, heads of public organizations, scientists and cultural figures, journalists, students, and representatives of the Turkmen diaspora in the regions of the Russian Federation.
A delegation from Turkmenistan arrived in Moscow to participate in the events. It included cultural figures and artists, including popular artists, opera soloists, pop singers, leading musical and dance groups, and media representatives.
In the theater foyer, guests of the vibrant celebration of the mutual enrichment of national cultures were greeted by stands and display cases displaying exhibits of national jewelry, museum treasures, and decorative and applied arts. These exhibits showcased pieces from the collections of the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan and the Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan, highlighting the history and artistic heritage of the Turkmen people. The artfully decorated traditional women's clothing, jewelry, hand embroidery, and carpets aroused great interest among visitors.
At the ceremony, those present agreed that such meetings are fully in keeping with the good traditions of Turkmen-Russian humanitarian cooperation and serve to strengthen bonds of friendship and mutual understanding. It was noted that the traditional good-neighborly ties between the peoples of Turkmenistan and Russia are finding their logical continuation in recent history.
Turkmen artists introduced the audience to examples of folklore, as well as contemporary classical and pop art, presenting national vocal numbers and dances, and captivating the audience with their virtuoso performances of folk melodies on authentic string and wind instruments. The event proved a colorful affair and delighted the numerous spectators.
The program for the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation includes a series of meetings between cultural figures from both countries. Additionally, a rich program of sightseeing tours of the Russian capital has been prepared for the Turkmen delegation.
