Diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan abroad widely celebrated World Bicycle Day

Every year on June 3, World Bicycle Day is widely celebrated in Turkmenistan and in many countries. On this occasion, diplomatic and consular missions of Turkmenistan abroad organized mass cycling events..

In celebration of World Bicycle Day, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Azerbaijan organized a cycling ride in the “Primorsky Boulevard” park in Baku on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence and World Bicycle Day.

The cycling event was attended by embassy representatives, members of the Turkmen diaspora in Azerbaijan, Turkmen students studying at higher education institutions, and Azerbaijani youth.

The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Uzbekistan also organized a cycling ride dedicated to World Bicycle Day. The sports event took place in Tashkent. Embassy staff, as well as Turkmen students studying at higher education institutions in Uzbekistan, participated in the ride.

The cycling event was held in an atmosphere of high organization, friendship, and unity. Participants expressed their support for Turkmenistan’s international initiatives aimed at developing sports diplomacy, promoting mass sports, and fostering an environmentally responsible lifestyle among young people.

On June 3, a cycling ride dedicated to World Bicycle Day was also held in Dushanbe. The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Tajikistan at the “Bogi Iram” Park of Culture and Recreation. Participants included embassy staff, Turkmen students studying at higher education institutions in Tajikistan, and members of the Dushanbe cycling community.

The purpose of the event was to promote the cycling movement, advance environmentally friendly modes of transport, and support the principles of sustainable development and a healthy lifestyle.

Additionally, in Vienna, a cycling ride was held to promote environmentally friendly transport, healthy living, and sustainable development. The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Austria in cooperation with the Embassies of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Republic of Bulgaria, and the Republic of Colombia, and with the support of the cycling association Radlobby and the organization Wien Mobilität.

The event was attended by leaders and representatives of the diplomatic corps, representatives of international organizations accredited in Vienna, citizens of Turkmenistan, as well as residents and guests of the Austrian capital. In total, more than 100 people participated in the event.
