Chairman of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan had a meeting with the Head of the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland
On June 22, 2026, a working meeting was held in Warsaw, the capital of the Republic of Poland, between A. Sazakov, Chairman of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan, who leads our country's delegation, and Commander Robert Bagan, Head of the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland.
During the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to actively continue cooperation on all initiatives and programs in the fields of peace, security, and sustainable development. The prospects and opportunities for interaction within the global migration system were also discussed.
As part of the meeting, A. Sazakov, Chairman of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan, and Commander Robert Bagan, Head of the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Migration Cooperation between the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan and the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland.
The implementation of the provisions of this document aims to expand the exchange of data and best practices, organize joint consultations and expert meetings, develop professional contacts between specialists, and improve the areas of interaction in the migration sphere.
The parties emphasized that the Memorandum marks a significant step toward further strengthening bilateral relations and creating a solid international legal framework for interaction.
In closing the meeting, the parties expressed confidence in the further harmonious development of their partnership and wished each other success in implementing meaningful initiatives in this field.
