Meeting held between Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan with new Special Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan for Central Asian and Caucasus countries
On August 19, 2026 Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan A. Bayramov held a meeting with T. Ishigaki, newly appointed Special Representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan for Central Asian and Caucasus countries.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as matters related to high-level visits.
During the meeting, the high pace of development of bilateral friendly relations was emphasized. It was noted that the basis for this is the two successful visits of the President of Turkmenistan to Japan during 2025.
The meeting included an exchange of views on future directions for the development of bilateral political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian relations. Particular attention was paid to organizing the meeting of the Turkmen-Japanese Committees on Economic Cooperation at a high level, which is scheduled to be held in Tokyo in December 2026.
