Turkmenistan Participates in the Annual Coordination Meeting of OIC Foreign Ministers

On 24 September 2026, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the United Nations Vepa Hajiyev addressed the Annual Coordination Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Turkmenistan reaffirmed the importance it attaches to cooperation and solidarity within the Islamic world, with particular emphasis on its support for the Palestinian people and the continuation of humanitarian assistance to the brotherly OIC member states.

The statement also expressed gratitude to the OIC member states for their support of the UN General Assembly resolution proclaiming 2028 as the Year of International Law, highlighting its significance for strengthening the UN Charter, sovereign equality, the peaceful settlement of disputes, and multilateral cooperation.
