On 3 November 2026, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan, in cooperation with the CMC (Children Meet Countries) non-profit organization in Tokyo, held a cultural and familiarization event. The event was attended by teachers and students of Suginami School in Tokyo.

The primary objective of the event was to foster intercultural dialogue among the younger generation, cultivate respect for the cultures of different nations and strengthen friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Japan.

The event featured presentations on the main priorities of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, measures being implemented in the field of youth policy, as well as the initiatives and efforts of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The Japanese schoolchildren were also provided with extensive information about the history, culture, national traditions and customs of Turkmenistan, as well as the country’s contemporary achievements.

Furthermore, in the context of the motto of the year, “Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan – homeland of purposeful heavenly horses”, participants were informed about Turkmenistan’s achievements, the special material and spiritual value of the Turkmen horse, and the comprehensive efforts undertaken in the country to scientifically study Ahal-Teke horses, promote this unique breed worldwide and enhance its international prestige.
