Turkmenistan with the support of the United Nations is preparing for the population census in 2022

On April 23 – May 1 this year, a group of international experts from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) will visit Turkmenistan. The purpose of the visit is to provide technical assistance in conducting the 2022 population and housing census in the country.

Conducting a population census is consistent with the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals at the national level and is another confirmation of Turkmenistan's commitment to strategic partnership with the UN and its specialized agencies.
