On October 11-12, 2022, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Federal Republic of Germany B.Rejepov participated in the 4th Berlin Climate and Security Conference.
The conference was attended by foreign ministers, state secretaries of relevant ministries of different countries, representatives of international and regional organizations, research institutes, as well as experts in the field of environmental protection, water resources and disaster risk reduction.
The current forum was held under the motto. " Climate – Conflict – Clash of Crises: Weathering the Risks ", on the sidelines of which the participants discussed the impact of climate change on global peace and sustainable development, their relationship with global political, military and epidemiological problems, the transition to clean energy, challenges and risks related with food security and rational use of water.
Within the framework of the panel sessions " Regional Resilience: Examples of Climate-Security operation from South-Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia" and "Towards a Green Central Asia: Preventive and stabilizing climate foreign policy" were discussed the issues of further cooperation and elaboration of new projects between the countries of the Central Asian region and Germany.
