On 16 January 2023 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia Muhammetgeldi Ayazov paid a visit to the Armenian State University of Economics and had a meeting with the Rector Diana Galoyan. Lusine Danielyan.
Ambassador Ayazov presented the work of the Embassy in the direction of developing and strengthening bilateral diplomatic relations in general and noted that the main purpose of his visit was to discuss the prospects for cooperation between the State Institute of Economics and Management of Turkmenistan and the Armenian State University of Economics.
Rector Galoyan introduced with the activities of the university, emphasizing that the university educates students in all economic specialties, touched upon research activities, spoke about the work of the «Amberd» Research Center in details and emphasized the readiness for cooperation with foreign universities.
The parties marked the importance of cooperation in the field of scientific research, in particular, researches related to the economic relations between the two countries. After discussing and defining the priorities, it was decided to sign a Memorandum of cooperation between the economic universities of the two friendly countries.
