On February 08, 2023, a meeting was held between Ambassador of Turkmenistan A. Movlamov and Coordinator General of the Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMSTECH) Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary in COMSTECH Secretariat.
During the meeting, parties discussed the opportunities of bilateral cooperation in the fields of science, education and culture.
Turkmen side briefed about the new modern administrative center of Akhal velayat - the city of Arkadag, which is built according to the concept of "Smart City", based on integration of advanced information and communication technologies, creating a single ecosystem that provides management of urban structures and services, aimed at improving the quality of life of the residents.
Pakistani side highly appreciated the facilities, buildings, and infrastructures built in Arkadag city based on "Smart City" concept, which is environmentally friendly and facilitates comfortable living.
Parties agreed to hold joint events throughout the year and facilitate scientific and educational cooperation between higher educational institutions and universities of Turkmenistan and Pakistan.
