On March 9 2023, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Kyrgyz Republic Sh.Meredov had a meeting with rector of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University A.Ceylan.
During the meeting issues of development of bilateral relations in the field of education, science and technology were discussed. In particular, the rector was informed about the Plan of upcoming events on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of great Turkmen thinker and classical poet Magtymguly Pyragy. In this regard, the rector fully supported the initiative to hold an international scientific conference “The place of Magtymguly Pyragy in spiritual and cultural values of the mankind” together with the Embassy and relevant agencies of Turkmenistan.
At the meeting, rector A.Ceylan showed a big interest to the Akhal-Teke horses and ancient games of horseback riding. He also expressed his proposal to consider the possibility to take part in events dedicated to the celebration of the National holiday of the Turkmen horse and in order to expand partnership to meet with the heads of relative universities of Turkmenistan.
At the end of the meeting, the rector was presented with a book of Hero-Arkadag “A horse - a symbol of faithfulness and happiness” and also expressed interest to continue effective partnership.
