On April 10, 2023, a bilateral meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
O.Charyev and the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of the States of the Gulf (GCC) Jassim Mohammed Albudaiwi.
During the meeting, the parties noted that great attention is paid to relations between Turkmenistan and the GCC countries at the bilateral and regional levels.
The parties also exchanged mutual views on bringing these relations to a new level, using the opportunities of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the GCC countries.
In addition, the Turkmen side provided the Secretary General of the GCC with comprehensive information about the city of Arkadag, which is being built on the basis of the concept of a "smart" city, at the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi was invited to Turkmenistan to participate in the opening ceremony of the Arkadag city.
