In order to present the upcoming 6th Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo to be held in the city of Dunhuang, Gansu Province, in August-September 2023, to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in China was visited by a provincial delegation headed by the Member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party, the Minister of Publicity of Gansu Province Zhang Yongxia and held a meeting with the Ambassador of Turkmenistan and diplomats of the Embassy.
Zhang Yongxia familiarizing with the province stressed that the parties have every opportunity to intensify cooperation at the interregional level.
In addition, Zhang Yongxia noted the special role played by the Great Silk Road in the mutual enrichment of the historical and cultural relations and invited Turkmenistan to take part in the 6th Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo supported by the central government of China as an honored guest.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China, for his part, expressed gratitude for the information provided. He also spoke about the cultural and civilizational contribution of Turkmenistan, its current economic and social development, energy and transport and logistics capabilities, as well as big plans to be implemented.
During the meeting the Ambassador of Turkmenistan presented the guests with copies of the book by Esteemed Arkadag "The Spiritual World of Turkmens", translated into Chinese.
