On July 24, 2023, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia M.Ayazov met with the rector of the Yerevan State University Hovhannes Hovhannisyan.
During the meeting, a constructive exchange of views took place on cooperation in the field of science and education within the framework of the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly and Yerevan State University.
During the coversation, the parties touched upon the issues of popularization of the Turkmen language, literature and culture in Armenia. The Ambassador was informed that in the new academic year 2023-2024, for the wide promotion of the literary heritage of the Turkmen poet-philosopher Magtymguly Fragi a number of lectures are planned to coincide with 300th anniversary of the great son of the Turkmen people.
In this context, recarding cooperation and exchange of experience between the teaching staff and students of the two partner universities, the Ambassador suggested inviting teachers from the Turkmen State University for lecturing and conducting classes at Yerevan State University.
In connection with the anniversary year, the Armenian side proposed the publish articles about Magtymguly Fragi in Armenian scientific journals, as well as to hold an International conference dedicated to the work of the classic poet. This will be another clear example of close cooperation with the leading university of Armenia.
