On August 3, 2023, the ceremony of presenting copies of credentials by the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Tajikistan A.Gochmuradov to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin took place.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and expressed the readiness of the Tajik side to provide assistance and support in his activities for the further development of bilateral relations.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects for cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. The activation of the strategic partnership between the two countries on the entire spectrum of issues of mutual interest was noted.
The parties emphasized that a distinctive feature of the Turkmen-Tajik relations is the mutually trusting and constructive dialogue that has developed between the leadership of the two states.
The Ambassador, in turn, assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen relations between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
