The possibilities of cooperation with the UN World Food Program were discussed

On August 9, 2023, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan A.Bayramov met with the Director of the WFP Japan Relations Office Yasuhiro Tsumura.

During the meeting the Ambassador informed the head of the Organization about initiatives put forward by Turkmenistan at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly aimed at maintaining peace and security, as well as achieving sustainable development goals, including holding a major international forum on food security in cooperation with relevant UN structures.

In turn, Yasuhiro Tsumura expressed support for the regional and global initiatives of Turkmenistan, emphasizing the readiness to provide comprehensive support in their promotion.
