On September 11, 2023, in Seoul, the Secretariat of the Cooperation Forum “Central Asia - the Republic of Korea”, in cooperation with the embassies of Central Asian countries in the Republic of Korea, organized a round table dedicated to the development of cooperation in the field of tourism. The meeting was attended by heads and employees of the diplomatic missions of the Central Asian states, as well as representatives of the tourism industry of these countries and the Republic of Korea.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the development of the tourism industry, in particular, the revival of the tourism sector in the post-Covid period in the countries of the Central Asian region and Korea. The importance of studying successful practices of “smart tourism” and opening direct flights between Central Asian countries and the Republic of Korea was also particularly noted.
During the round table, the Turkmen side held a presentation of the tourism industry of Turkmenistan, and a video was shown telling about the tourism opportunities of our country.
