Ashgabat Forum of the International Energy Charter - Towards a multilateral framework agreement on the transit of energy resources

The Ashgabat Forum of the International Energy Charter will be held in Ashgabat on May 30-31, 2017, under the chairmanship of Turkmenistan in the Energy Charter Conference in 2017.

The forum will be titled "Towards a Multilateral Framework Agreement on Transit of Energy Resources" to stimulate policy debates on the role of transit for global energy security and sustainable development. The event will bring together government officials, representatives of international organizations, industry and academic institutions to discuss operational, regulatory and legal aspects of energy transit, including natural gas, oil and electricity.

On May 31, 2017, with the participation of representatives of the mass media, an international energy media forum will be held.
