On October 9, 2018, a meeting of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R.O. Meredov took place in Ashgabat with Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Chief of Staff of the Government of the Russian Federation K.A. Chuychenko, who arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit.
At the beginning of the meeting, K.A. Chuychenko thanked the Turkmen side for the warm welcome and expressed gratitude for the ongoing Turkmen-Russian cooperation.
During the meeting, the strategic nature of the partnership was discussed. KA Chuichenko particularly noted the productivity of regular contacts at the highest level. The positions of the two countries in the international arena were also discussed.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the state of trade-economic cooperation, and such areas as sports, transport, logistics, communications and energy were also identified as promising areas of interaction. Noting the need to expand cooperation in the field of culture and education, the parties considered the further steps to implement them.
During the talks, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - the Chief of Staff of the Government of the Russian Federation noted his country's respect for the neutrality of Turkmenistan and the support of our foreign policy initiatives.
