On November 13, 2018, there was a telephone conversation between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Focusing on the high level of the traditional interstate dialogue based on the inviolable ties of friendship between the two fraternal peoples, the parties discussed the implementation of the reached bilateral agreements and the possibility of further diversification of mutually beneficial ties.
The interlocutors have underlined that Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan have achieved qualitatively new level of cooperation implementing new ambitious joint projects that meet the goals of economic prosperity of the two countries and the whole region.
It was underlined that the centuries-old good-neighborly relations contribute to the coordinated Turkmen-Uzbek interaction in developing transit-transport corridors, increasing the volume of mutual trade, encouraging investment, and strengthening business contacts.
At the end of the telephone conversation, the heads of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan expressed confidence that the traditionally friendly interstate relations will strengthen and develop successfully, wishing each other and fraternal peoples the best wishes.
