Message for the media
On 14 November 2018, the Russian media agency “Novosti” that refers to the result of the 80th session of the Council of the Commanders of the frontier troops of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) held in Tokmok city, Kyrgyz Republic, spread distorted information about the deterioration of the situation on the Turkmen-Afghan border.
In this connection, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan officially states that this information does not correspond the reality and regards it as unfriendly step towards Turkmenistan.
