Meeting of the delegations of Turkmenistan and Japan held in Dushanbe

On the 18th of May 2019, a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Taro Kono who have arrived to Tajikistan to participate to the High-Level Conference “International and regional cooperation on countering terrorism and its financing through illicit drug trafficking and organized crime” was held.

During the negotiations, the sides noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of development of Turkmen-Japanese relations. Particularly the cooperation in the political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres was discussed.

The Japanese side also noted that Turkmenistan makes a valuable input in sustaining peace and stability in the Central Asia and the world in general.
