On August 19, 2016 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs there was a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Great Britain in Turkmenistan Mr. Sanjay Wadvani Obe, who is completing his diplomatic work in Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the Turkmen side for all-round attention to the issues of the Embassy and assistance in the work. The sides noted the high level of political cooperation. It was emphasized that comprehensive strengthening of constructive international dialogue and promote bilateral political consultations were held on a regular basis.
Then the sides exchanged views on the prospects of Turkmen-British partnership, which holds a solid potential that creates the most favorable opportunities for further strengthening effective linkages on a wide range of directions in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. It was noted the mutual interest in developing relations in spheres of science and education. Also the attention of the parties was paid to the issues of further development of energy cooperation.
At the end of the meeting the Turkmen side thanked the British Ambassador for his contribution to the development of Turkmen-British cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
