On February 3, 2017 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Turkmenistan Mr. Yitzhak Carmel Kagan, during which they discussed issues of the development of Turkmen-Israeli cooperation.
At the beginning the sides emphasized the systemic nature of the interaction between the foreign ministries of the two countries. In this context the sides noted the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan to the State of Israel in May last year, and called for the continuation of active inter-MFA contacts in the current year.
The sides also discussed issues related to the organization and conduct in both the countries of a number of measures aimed at enhancing trade and economic and cultural-humanitarian relations.
