On February 19, 2017 the delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the 69th session of the Executive Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia, held in Sapporo, Japan.
The meeting was attended by Vice-Presidents of the Asian Games and the representatives of the National Olympic Committees of Asian countries. The meeting was chaired by the President of the Olympic Council of Asia Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah.
In the speech at the session the delegation of Turkmenistan briefed the participants about the high level of organization of preparatory activities to conduct V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games to be held in September 2017 in Ashgabat.
Within the framework of the visit the delegation of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the President of the Olympic Council of Asia Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah.
In addition, during the visit the delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the opening ceremony of the VIII Winter Asian Games, held in Sapporo.
