On March 9-10, 2017, the rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan B. Zakhyrov visited Romania on a working visit.
Within the framework of the working visit, the rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held talks with the Secretary of State of the Ministry of National Education of Romania Gabriel Liviu Ispas, the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania Dan Nekoulaescu and the Director General of the Diplomatic Institute of Romania Dan Petre, during which the parties discussed prospects for the development and strengthening of bilateral relations in the sphere of training of diplomatic personnel.
On March 10, the ceremony of signing a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Diplomatic Institute of Romania took place in the building of the Diplomatic Institute of Romania. The signing ceremony was attended by the leadership and representatives of the Diplomatic Institute of Romania, as well as Ambassador S. Moldovan and other representatives of the Romanian Foreign Ministry, and from the Turkmen side the ceremony was attended by the representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania.
