On March 23, 2017, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan had a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan, Mr. Hossein Ali Mustafa Ghannam.
During the meeting, the Ambassador presented copies of his credentials. In the beginning, the parties noted the role of high-level visits, which, in turn, gave a great impetus to the development of relations between Turkmenistan and Palestine.
Discussing the state and prospects of development of bilateral relations in the political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres between Turkmenistan and Palestine, the sides noted the interest in developing cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals and education. Noting that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the parties paid special attention to the organization of the Days of the Culture of Palestine in Turkmenistan.
During the talks, the sides noted the need to further expand the fruitful dialogue on the line of foreign policy departments, as well as the parties' interest in developing relations between the business structures of the two countries. The Turkmen side also expressed its readiness to render all assistance and support to the Ambassador's activities in the new post.
