On November 19, 2020, the presentation of the book of the President of Turkmenistan “Traditions of Turkmen Statehood” in Japanese was held at the Oguz Khan Engineering and Technological University of Turkmenistan.
The new edition has become a kind of gift for the public studying the Japanese language on the eve of the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.
The presentation was attended by chief editors of print media, rectors, faculty and students of the capital's universities, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations operating in Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of the Turkmen and foreign media. In addition, rectors and faculty, as well as students of leading Japanese universities took part in the event via videoconference.
During the presentation, the rectors of the Oguz Khan Engineering and Technological University of Turkmenistan and the Dovletmammed Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to Turkmenistan Hiroyuki Yamamoto, the rector of the University of Tsukuba (Japan) Nagata Kyosuke, professor of the Kitasato University of Japan Norihiro Okada, professor, associate professor of the University of Tokyo Terue Okada and other contributors made the presentations.
As noted, the translation of the book of the President of Turkmenistan “Traditions of Turkmen Statehood” into Japanese will serve to further popularize the rich spiritual heritage of the Turkmen people, which made a unique contribution to the development of global civilization.
Representatives of Japanese universities, especially noting the importance of this work, expressed their deep conviction that Japanese readers, members of scientific and public circles, as well as everyone who is interested in the spiritual world of the Turkmen, will get a clear idea of the national values of the people who made an important contribution to the development of all mankind.
At the end of the event, the participants adopted an Address to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
