Active work is being done in Turkmenistan for modernization and reformation of the national system of health protection in accordance with world standards. To this end, the measures taken to improve the health of the population are being enhanced.
The efficiency of the system of epidemiological surveillance for the prevention of infections that are based on scientific achievements is systematically improving and increasing.
In accordance with Turkmenistan legislation, the work continues for registration of vaccines for the prevention of viral diseases, under the instruction of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov the negotiations are being conducted with foreign manufacturers.
In particular, based on the results of expert analysis, the Centre of registration of medicines and state quality control near the Ministry of Health Protection and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan issued the Certificate of registration of the second Russian vaccine – “EpiVacKorona”.
This vaccine was worked out by Federal State-Financed Organization “State Scientific Centre of Virology and Biotechnology “Vector” of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Protection and Human Well-Being of the Russian Federation.
After the issuance of the registration certificate of the vaccine it is allowed the purchase and the use of this preparation in Turkmenistan.
