On July 15, 2021, in the city of Tashkent, within the framework of the visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov had a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi.
During a constructive conversation, the ministers discussed issues of the bilateral agenda. Touching upon the topic of interstate dialogue, the need was stated to build up potential in the field of political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian interaction.
In this context, the possibilities of participation of a high-ranking delegation of Kazakhstan at the next Consultative meeting of the Heads of Central Asian states, which will be held in August this year in Turkmenistan, were considered.
R.Meredov and M.Tleuberdi emphasized the complete mutual understanding between two countries on many international issues, and also noted the importance of mutual support for the initiatives and candidacies of the parties within the framework of international structures.
In this context, the sides stressed the readiness of the parties to continue working together to counter modern challenges, both in bilateral and multilateral formats.
The development of cooperation in the fuel and energy sector, in the field of industry, transport and communications, as well as the intensification of contacts on the cultural and humanitarian lines, were highlighted as priority areas of Turkmen-Kazakh interaction.
