On the 6th of August 2021, within the framework of the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of States of Central Asia, the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a meeting in Turkmenbashy city with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Central Asia, the Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia Natalia Gherman.
During the constructive talks the significance of the holding of current Consultative Meeting of the Heads of States, which has become the peculiar platform for discussion and making decisions on key aspects of the development of political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian interaction between the countries of the region.
At the meeting the parties discussed current and perspective direction of cooperation of Turkmenistan with the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia in the light of the recently adopted Resolution of the UN General Assembly, initiated by Turkmenistan entitled “Strengthening the links between all modes of transport to achieve stable and reliable international transport for sustainable development during and after the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic”.
