On June 26, 2017 in Tokyo, the 12th joint meeting of the Turkmen-Japanese and Japanese-Turkmen committees for economic cooperation was held. A delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs arrived in Japan on a working visit to participate in the work of this forum.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on various issues in the field of trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan. A positive assessment was given to the work of the Turkmen-Japanese and Japanese-Turkmen committees on economic cooperation in deepening and expanding bilateral cooperation and expressed satisfaction with the state of relations between the two countries.
During the speeches, the successful development of joint cooperation in such sectors as transport, chemistry, electric power, industry, agriculture, healthcare, communications, finance, trade, science, education, sport, tourism and ecology was emphasized.
Following the results of the twelfth joint meeting of the Turkmen-Japanese and Japanese-Turkmen committees on economic cooperation, the final protocol was signed.
Within the framework of the working visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan, bilateral meetings were held between the heads of various ministries, departments and universities of Turkmenistan and representatives of Japanese companies, universities and some ministries.
